Why Indy?

Some people have been asking my mom why we decided to name our dog Indiana. No, it is not because I lived in Indiana, or because we are in the midwest. The name Indiana ("Indy") is a reference to Indiana Jones.

Quote from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade:

There are many reasons why we became attached to this name:
  • Indiana Jones is awesome.
  • Indiana was named after his dog.
  • The dog was a husky, a breed that Keith has wanted his whole life.
  • Indy is a Trochee.
  • The dog will inherently have a doctorate.

  1. Will the dog inherently have a doctorate in physics or biology?

I vote physics because we all know biology isn't a real science.

  2. Well my doctorate is in Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology, not Biology...

And I believe that Indy's degree is in mischief.
